Meet Northeast DJs

Greg Young / Owner and DJ

"maine dj greg young"I started in the DJ business during my freshman year of high school. It was a the age of 14 that I started my first DJ company. With my growing CD collection and my beginner sound system I focused my attention on the school aged market. As a young professional I was passionate and enthusiastic about providing the best entertainment possible. The school aged market was a great way to learn the ropes as a disc jockey and master of ceremonies. Performing at middle schools, high schools, and birthdays I learned to mix music, how to interact with a crowd, and how to ensure that people had a great time.

Four years later I moved my business to Farmington, Maine where I started my college coursework at the University of Maine at Farmington. During these next four years I began DJ’ing corporate parties, weddings, anniversaries, and other private functions. As I had evolved from a freshman in high school to a graduating college senior my business had evolved to encompass all possible entertainment avenues.

After ten years of owning and operating my business I made the decision to join Northeast DJs. This decision made perfect sense because Northeast DJs allowed for professional growth while maintaining a strong focus on customer service. I believe that placing the customer first is what lead to my growth as a Maine DJ and it is what will carry Northeast DJs into becoming one of the best DJs in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

My fundamental belief is that a Disc Jockey should be professional, fun, and affordable. I pride myself on the customer service in which I offer. Northeast DJs is more than a music service; it is my name and reputation. My passion and enthusiasm for playing great music and providing top quality entertainment is what sets me apart from other DJs. My success as a DJ comes from the smile on your face when your special event comes to a conclusion and I do not rest until that happens.

Dan DeBruin / Owner and DJ

"dj danny debruin"From as far back as I can remember, music has played a major role in my life. I began my CD collection in sixth grade when I was 12 years old. By age 14, I had over 100 CDs and the self proclaimed “DJ Danny D” was born.

As captain of my high school basketball team, I would prepare all the warm-up music. Other athletes would hear the songs/mixes I created and ask me to prepare remix CD’s for their teams. Shortly thereafter, the Principal assigned me to all music for 20 plus athletic teams.

I became the ultimate music enthusiast while pursuing a degree in Business and Communications at the University of Southern Maine. When I wasn’t studying or playing intercollegiate basketball, I was performing at Private Parties, Sporting Events, and School Dances. This experienced prepared me for the 1999 launch of my first DJ business.

Shortly after launching my business, I attended the Mobile DJ Mix Academy in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, America’s only comprehensive DJ education program. This comprehensive DJ education program specializes in music mixing entertainment. As a 2002 graduate, I have the unique ability to sync dance songs together so one song mixes seamlessly to the next. This “new school” disc jockey approach guarantees uninterrupted celebration at your next event!

After ten successful years promoting ‘DJ Danny D’ as a household name in the mobile entertainment industry I partnered with DJ Greg Young in an effort to launch Northeast DJs. Our partnership allows for an expansion in the wedding, corporate and school territory. Northeast DJs will include Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The initial response has been incredible and Northeast DJ’s will continue to be New England’s first choice for professional and affordable mobile entertainment!

As an entertainer, I believe education and experience provide creditability but personality and presentation remain the secret ingredients to successfully facilitate an event. As your Master of Ceremonies and Musical Host, I will create the professional atmosphere that every event should have!
